Dr. Kumar has been practicing for over 15 years. In India he grew up on a farm with his family which was what lead him to his career. He graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine in Punjab, India. Upon arriving in the United States he completed his studies at the Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in Ames, Iowa. After finishing his studies in Iowa, he worked as an associate in veterinary clinics in Wisconsin and Indiana for over 6 years. In Sept. 2003 he opened the Des Plaines Family Pet Clinic. He is a member of the AVMA as well as the ISVMA. His favorite procedures include complex soft tissue surgeries where he is able to utilize his skill with the laser scalpel, but he gets the most satisfaction from the full and complete recovery of his patients.
Dara is our furry, four legged office manager! He is our ambassador of good will and the leader of our welcoming party. All compliments and complaints may be directed to him!
Stacy has been working at the clinic for over three years. She is currently a student of UIC in pursuit of a teaching degree and currently works with underprivileged children to help supplement their schooling. In her free time she like working out, spending time with her sorority sisters or cuddling with her dog Fergie.
Tracey is currently a college student who has been a part of the Des Plaines Family Pet Clinic for over a year and is a certified animal nutritional counselor. She is studying psychology and although she loves all animals, she is a sucker for a Beagle! When she isn't at the clinic Tracey is spending time with her own Beagles, Touchdown and Adrenalyn.
Jeannie is a graduate of Iowa State University with a B.S. in Biology and a B.A. in Scientific Illustration. She is currently enrolled in the AVMA accredited distance learning program through Penn Foster College to earn her Associates in Veterinary Technology and is a member of the ISVMA.
Danielle is our on-site groomer. She has over 9 years experience grooming just about any animal you have to offer! No job is too big or too small be it cat or dog. If you are feeling truly adventurous, she will be happy to discuss trying a new hair color on Trixie! When she is not grooming she is out visiting hospitals and schools with her therapy dogs or she might be involved in agility competitions. If you'd like to know more about these activities she'll be happy to fill you in!
